The Brahma Kumaris Story

Madhuban, Mount AbuMount Abu, high in the Aravali Mountains of Rajasthan, provided an ideal location for reflection and contemplation for the original group's move from Karachi in 1950.

After initially occupying rented premises, the community established itself at what is now their permanent spiritual centre. The headquarters is formally known as the "Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya (Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University)" and carries the Sanskrit name "Madhuban," which translates to 'Forest of Honey'.
